Who we are
Lothian Turf Tech is a newly established, independent specialist supplier of professional ground care machinery, founded by Richard Fairnie with one clear mission: to make the process of choosing, buying and owning high-quality turf equipment straightforward, honest and genuinely rewarding.
After more than two decades working at the sharp end of the ground care industry, Richard identified a growing need among customers for something different – knowledgeable, no-pressure guidance that puts the customer’s exact requirements first, followed by outstanding ongoing support long after the sale.
Richard’s career in this industry began at Fairways GM where, as Commercial Manager for Scotland, he worked directly with a huge range of end-users – local authorities, landscape contractors, large private estates, golf courses, sports clubs and caravan parks. Day-to-day contact with the people operating and maintaining the machines gave him an unrivalled understanding of what really matters when selecting professional turf equipment.
He then moved to Simon Richard Ltd as UK Sales Manager, supplying market-leading brands to the dealer network nationwide. This gave him a complete view of the industry from both the dealer and manufacturer perspective.
Now, with Lothian Turf Tech, Richard is bringing that hard-earned insight directly to you.
